Nuclear Times helped people connect and showcased the scale and power of the disarmament movement. It was the first reliable source of information on what was happening in the anti-nuclear movement - nationwide and worldwide. The magazine contained news, plans, and accomplishments of the more than 3,000 groups in the United States and many more abroad. It provided a calendar of upcoming events, legislation and other information ordinary citizens could act upon - in their own community, in Washington, in the centers of world power.
